Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- At McCabe Lumber we pride ourselves on having an expert and knowledgable staff to assist our customers. Inside Sales Consultants need to confidently provide our customers with the information they need to make an informed buying decision.
- Familiarization with full line displays, samples, and literature to better assist and direct customers
- Be knowledgable on all aspects of McCabe Lumber including our full service mill and door shop and our on site truss and panel manufacturing and engineering department
- Keep up-to-date on our deep “in stock” inventory full of the industry’s leading brands
Job Requirements
- Prior sales experience
- Background in lumber & building materials including sales within the industry
- Applicable in-field carpentry or remodeling experience and knowledge of millwork
- Ability to periodically lift up to 50 lbs
- Fluency in construction terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and grammatically correct manner
- Ability to operate a computer as well as maneuver relative software programs
